This website, jamesfojt.com, is the personal business site of James Fojt, hairstylist. We keep data collection to a minimum and never sell your information. This policy explains what little we do collect and why.

The enquiry form

The “Ask James” form on the contact page collects your name and email address, your phone number if you choose to give it, what you’re interested in, your message, and any photos you attach. We ask for photos because a colour question genuinely cannot be answered without seeing the hair — they are optional, and nothing on this site requires you to send one.

That information is sent to Call HTX, the lead-handling service operated by Conflenti Media that runs this site’s enquiries. It is stored there, checked automatically for spam before anyone is notified, and then passed to James by email — and by text message only if he has separately opted in to receive texts. Uploaded photos are kept in private storage and are not publicly accessible.

We use it to answer you. It is never sold, never rented, and never added to a marketing list. You can also reach James by calling the salon or messaging him on social media, in which case the interaction is handled by your phone carrier or that platform rather than by this website.

How we know where you came from

When you first arrive, the site stores in your own browser which link or campaign brought you, along with the page you landed on. If you later send an enquiry, that is attached to it, so James can tell which of his posts and articles actually reach people. It stays in your browser until you clear your browsing data, it does not identify you, and clearing it costs you nothing.

Booking

Appointments are booked through the salon’s third-party booking system (Meevo). When you book, your information is handled under that provider’s privacy policy, not this website’s.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are visited, in aggregate. This does not identify you personally. The site functions fully whether or not analytics are enabled.

Cookies

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Any cookies present are limited to what’s needed for the site or optional analytics to work.

Your choices

You can contact us at any time to ask what information we hold about you or to request its deletion, including any enquiry and photos you sent. We only hold what you sent us, so honouring that is usually straightforward and we will confirm when it is done.
